#3: Cambodia July 2002

Siem Reap/Angkor, Cambodia

Angkor Wat in the sunrise

Classic picture of Angkor Wat reflecting in the pool...and me

The gates are really cool; check out the faces (South gate)

An overview of Bayon

Smiling face at Bayon

I see something starting with "F". ...eh...Face!

Terrance of the Elephants

Climbing the 50high Ta Keo temple

Carving at Ta Prohm

Spectacular Banyan roots at Ta Prohm

Roots Bloody Roots! (most of you have no clue what I refer to, but do I care? Nope)

I see something starting with "E". ...eh...Even more faces!

Here is a test for the dirty minded. Guess what this represents? (Banteay Kdey)

Inside Banteay Kdey

Bantey Srey is a 30 minutes drive away from the main site, but well worth it...

... due to the nice carvings

Instead of the usual lion guard, Bantey Srey has monkeys

If I was ever going to make myself a pool, then I'll go for something like this (Neak pool)

Mean looking statue outside the Neak Khan temple

Nice carving and more roots

Headless statues guarding the Neak Khan temple

Monkey with monkey kid

Where there is bananas, there will be monkeys

More monkeys (ok, I think that is enough...for now)

View of Angkor Wat from Phnom Bakheng (the sunset spot)

The sunset (what is there to say, we climbed many stairs for this!)

Siem Reap harbor as it looks now

Two boats w/ merchandise
